Meghan and Harry: their wax statues separated from the royal family

don’t turn around anymore. Since they officially left the royal family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle no longer seem welcome in the UK. Even less since the last interview with the Duke of Sussex, where he criticizes the education he received from his father Prince Charles. A new sign has come to confirm it. Madame Tussauds Museum in London has decided to move the wax statues of the princely couple and install them alongside Hollywood celebrities, such as Priyanka Chopra, Meghan Markle’s best friend, CNN reports.

After more than a year of closure, visitors to the London Museum will therefore be able to discover the new layout on Monday, May 17. To see the wax figures of Meghan and Harry, they will need to go to the Awards Party area. Madame Tussauds said in a press release to have put them there to echo their decision to “swap Frogmore for Hollywood”.

Meghan Markle statue cost 174,000 euros

Until now, the statues of Meghan and Harry were still in the area reserved for the royal family, next to the statue of the queen and that of prince Philip. Steve Davies, director general of the museum, however assured that they remained “two of the most popular and appreciated characters” and that they “will remain an important part” of Madame Tussauds.

As a reminder, Meghan Markle made her entrance to the London Museum of Wax Statues for the first in 2019 after her marriage to Prince Harry. The statue cost 150,000 pounds sterling (approximately 174,000 euros).
