Little Lilibet, daughter of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, had her face revealed when she completed her first year of life. The photo was shared on social media by photographer Misan Harriman, a friend of Harry and Meghan.
“It was a privilege to celebrate Lilibet’s 1st birthday with my family and hers! Joy and painted faces everywhere”, wrote the photographer in an Instagram post on Monday (6).
In the photo, Lilibet appears smiling in a blue dress and a bow on her head, sitting on a lawn. The album is complemented with a photo of Meghan with the little one on her lap, a woman and other children who attended the party.
The image was released on Monday (6), but Lilibet, the great-granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II, turned one year old on June 4. She is the couple’s second child; Archie, the firstborn, is three years old.
Harriman was also responsible for photographing the couple when they announced their pregnancy. At the time, Misan Harriman said she took the image remotely on an iPad. The photographer lives in London, while the Sussexes live in California following the breakup of the British royal family.
“Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story begin, and my friend, I’m honored to capture you growing up,” he wrote on social media after the photo was released. “Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on this joyous news!”
Last year, Harriman became the first black photographer to shoot the cover of the all-important September issue of British Vogue.
