Meghan Markle and the Christmas traditions she doesn’t give up: from carrots for the reindeer to board games and improvisations on the guitar

For Meghan Markle, Christmas is a special time, not only to celebrate the holidays but also to create magical memories for her family and children. After the birth of little Archie in 2019 and Lilibet in 2021, Meghan Markle and Harry of England, now permanently stationed in the United States and far from the protocols of the royal family, dedicate themselves, especially during the holidays, to giving unique moments to their children, to help them build their personal memory of memories.

The Dukes of Sussex chose to spend the holidays in their villa in Montecito, California, where they all decorated a large Christmas tree together (no invitation from Sandringham arrived for Christmas and perhaps it would have been rejected anyway). “I love the holidays”said Meghan Markle, adding that, year after year, Christmas becomes more and more beautiful. “At first, as a mother, you just enjoy having your children there, but they don’t understand everything that’s happening yet. After the Christmas lunch, which includes typical American dishes and some more personal touches, such as pumpkin pies, the Dukes of Sussex love to spend time with board games but also with sound improvisations on the guitar (Meghan Markle has in fact never hidden his passion for music).

In recent days Meghan and Harry, as well as the heir to the throne William and Kate Middleton, have shared their Christmas greeting card. If the former chose a card made up of five different images portraying them during trips and charitable commitments, as well as an unpublished image with their children Archie and Lilibet, with their faces hidden, however, the latter opted for aunique photographvery intimate: a still image taken from the video with which Kate, last September, announced that she had finished chemotherapy.
