Meghan Markle spoke openly about his relationship with Prince Harry, whom he married in May 2018 after about a year and a half of dating.
The Duchess of Sussex feels that they are in the “honeymoon” phase, because now they have time and space to “enjoy each other.”
Explaining why he’s more in love than ever, Meghan told the “The Jamie Kern Lima Show” podcast: “You have to imagine that in the beginning everything is flowers. And then we went straight to the trench together – right away, like six months after we start dating”.
“So, now, seven years later, when you have a little room to breathe, you can simply enjoy the person in a new way. And that’s why I feel that it is now another honeymoon period for us,” he said.
When asked if he believes they will be married forever, she replied, “Yes. He’s also a cat. If you haven’t noticed, my husband is very, very beautiful. But his heart is even more beautiful.”
Duchess compared her relationship with Harry, with whom she has her 5 -year -old Archie and Lilibet, 3 -year -old, to the Video Game Super Mario Bros.
“It is not something that should be overlooked, when you have a partner, a spouse, who is by your side for whatever comes and comes. This man loves me so much. Look what we build? We have a beautiful life, we have two healthy children,” he said.
“I always think about it as the end of Super Mario Bros., when you reach the last phase and say, ‘Defeat the dragon, save the princess.’ I think: this is my husband. He is constantly willing to do whatever he needs to ensure that our family is safe and protected, and that we are keen to keep our time for two,” he concluded.
The former suits actress often refers to Harry only for her initial, and explained that the nickname caught since the time they needed to speak “in code” to keep the relationship secret.
“Probably at the beginning of our dating, when everything was in code. People didn’t know we were together… Wow, talking about affective memory, so long. I mean, soon it will be our seventh wedding anniversary. I couldn’t tell anyone who was dating, and who was keeping [o segredo]so I think we were just for letters… and stayed, ”he explained.
“Reconciliation” with royal family
On Friday (2), Prince Harry told the British BBC network that he would “love reconciliation” with the British royal family.
He also noted that he lost contact with his father because of a lawsuit against the British government, which prevents him from receiving public police protection.
“I would love to reconcile with my family. Life is precious. I don’t know how long my father still has. He doesn’t talk to me because of this security issue, but it would be good to reconcile,” he said.
In the interview, Harry also said he is “devastated” after losing the lawsuit.
