Today, Meizu today officially unveiled the flagship smartphone Meizu 18, and now Chinese sources have published the first real photos of the device. They really deserve special attention, because in reality the device does not look exactly the same as in the advertising images.

It’s worth noting that this is pretty standard practice for many manufacturers. Usually, advertising images reduce the width of the screen frames and the diameter of the hole for the front camera.
For Meizu, the main question arises: why was it necessary to deprive its new flagships of the distinctive feature that has distinguished the manufacturer’s smartphones from competitors for several years. Recall that earlier the company’s smartphones were equipped with a front camera, which was embedded in the narrow upper frame of the screen. Last year, the Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro received a front camera embedded in the corner of the screen, which was noticeably smaller in diameter than the Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro. After another design change, the new flagships have completely lost their originality: it has become very difficult to distinguish them when looking at the front panel from inexpensive “Chinese”.
We bring to your attention a selection of photos of the smartphone and its packaging.
