Melania Trump announces White House reopening for public visits

United States First Lady Office Melania Trump announced on Wednesday the official reopening of the White House for public visits from February 25, 2025.

“The president and I are excited to reopen the White House to those interested in the extraordinary history of this beautiful and iconic Marco,” shared the first lady Melania.

For US citizens, visits must be requested through Congress members. Thus, to schedule a visit, you need to contact the district representative or senator, or state in the United States Congress.

For foreigners, it is necessary to contact the country’s embassy in Washington, DC

Requests must be sent 7 to 90 days in advance. Visits are scheduled in order of request.

The excursions are guided, free and lasting about 45 minutes.

Generally, the available times will be from 7:30 am to 11:30 am, from Tuesday to Thursday, and from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm on Friday and Saturday (except federal holidays or opposite indication). Schedules can change at any time based on the White House official programming – even if the visit has already been confirmed.

Visits include the east wing public rooms and the residence, where is the library, China Room, the Blue Room, the Red Room, the Green Room, the State Dining Room and a View to the White House Kennedy Garden.

Secret Service officers are positioned and available to answer any questions.
