The Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni and the Italian Minister of Agriculture Francesco Lollobrigida they are meeting, at this time, representatives of a series of Italian associations of the agricultural sector. According to information, however, representatives of the coordination councils of the farmers who in recent weeks are not participating in the meeting they are demonstrating on the streets and highways of Italy.
As reported by APE, a first proposal of the Italian government concerns the tax exemption for farmers' incomes which do not exceed 10,000 euros per year. At the same time, according to information, the Italian Prime Minister spoke out against the so-called “synthetic foods” and emphasized that it is urgent to stop the selling agricultural products at a price below cost production, because farmers must be paid fairly for their work.
“It's not possible to do miracles in a matter of months, but I think the change in course of our government, aimed at correcting decades of wrong policies, is clear,” said Georgia Meloni during the meeting.
