A crowd of fans Liam Payne met at Washington Square Park, in New York, on Saturday night (19). In addition to balloons, flowers, posters, photos and candles, fans sang hits from the career of the former One Direction member, who died last Wednesday (16), in Argentina.
In videos shared on TikTok, Americans sing the verses of “Half a Heart”, which is part of the boyband’s third album, entitled “Midnight Memories” and the song “Spaces”, which is from the album “Four”. On X, the old Twitter, Liam’s fans also shared videos of the tribute.
Since the musician’s departure, several tributes have been paid by Payne’s admirers. This Saturday (19), fans also said goodbye to the singer in his hometown, Wolverhampton, England.
This Sunday (20), memorials are planned in London and Paris. In Brazil, some tributes take place at the end of the month. Both in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, fans pay tribute on October 27th.
Death of Liam Payne
Liam Payne died at the age of 31 after falling from the third floor of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, last Wednesday (16).
According to the preliminary autopsy report carried out on the same date by the Argentine forensic agency, the artist died of “polytrauma” with “internal and external hemorrhage”.
