Russian businessman Sergei Mendeleev called his hit on the US sanctions list look absolutely logical from the point of view of Americans, “who, of course, do not understand the realities of our crypto.”

According to the Office for Foreign Assets of the US Department of Finance (OFAC) and the State Department, Mendeleev’s figure unites GaratEx and just added to the Grinex exchange, INDEFI and Exved.

In a conversation with Bits.media, Mendeleev recalled that for five years it has nothing to do with Garantex and called the exchange “no more than one line in the biography.” He called the sanctions against Indefi and Exved funny, since “the first one generally exists only in my imagination” and for three years does not work, and the second does not carry out any operations and does not have a legal entity.

The entrepreneur made it clear that Grinex does not manage, but “I read some names for the first time on the OFAC website.” He added that Indefi and Exved have nothing but sites, and in the worst case they will have to change the domains. According to Mendeleev, he and his partners were ready in advance for such a turn, and the sanctions would not affect his activities about in any way.

OFAC included Mendeleev in the list simultaneously with the commercial director of the Russian Crypto -Railway GaratEx Alexander Mira Ferda and its regional director Pavel Karavatsky. The State Department announced that for information capable of detaining the heart of heart, the American treasury is ready to pay $ 5 million, and for information about other figures – $ 1 million.
