Menu highlights Brazilian and Chilean chefs

To shed light on the skills of the rising women chefs, as well as serving passengers special dishes, which will be forever in their memories, from last year to Latam has been offering the Brazilian Sabor Programin which it invites chefs from 5 Brazilian regions to create a menu on board that represents their local culture.
Available to international flight passengers more than 7 hours long, departing from Guarulhos Airport, this unique gastronomic experience aims to support, empower and give visibility to female talents that emerge in the sector, and celebrate the diversity of Brazilian cuisine, so rich in flavors, colors and aromas.
The success was such that Latam now begins a new phase of the program and includes chefs from different South American countries to develop a unique menu together.

Two talents, a mouth -watering menu

Among the participants of this second stage are Nara Amaralone of Salvador’s most recognized chefs, owner of Di Window, in the Bahian capital, and Lorna Muñoz, chef of the cozy Traveía, in Isla de Chiloé, archipelago located south of Chile.
The creation of chefs combines crisp and aroma in three dishes beyond special.
First, a quinoa tropical salad with palm, tomato, algae and mussels, perfect for arousing appetite.
The main course brings gold fish in shrimp sauce, accompanied by olricuri crumbs and cashews moqueca. To close, the dessert is the Brujo post, sweet made with apple mazamorra, rompon and homemade meringue. “The name comes from the idea of ​​preparing with what you have at home and here is the magic,” explains Lorna. “It was the specialty of my grandparents. I didn’t know them personally, but my mother taught me the recipe – and that’s the charm of the kitchen.”
And for those who are starting in the kitchen, Nara leaves a message: “We are women and we can be where we want.”
