One of the most emblematic groups and that formed part of several generations was Menudo, who in 1977 practically became the pioneers of boy band that we know today.
Now the five-member Latino group is back, although, unlike their predecessors, who achieved all their success singing in Spanish, in this new concept they will present their songs mostly in English.
The Menudo group became a musical phenomenon that had millions of fans around the world. For decades, they managed to maintain a successful career, but various scandals and the natural wear and tear of time put an end to the project.
Today, by the hand of Mario López, this new stage arises. The boys Alejandro Querales (15 years old), Andrés Emilio (14 years old), Gabriel Rossell (13 years old), Ezra Gilmore (12 years old) and Nicolás Calero (10 years old) present themselves to the world with a great desire to succeed and ready to steal the people’s hearts with his music.
Producer Mario López talked about how difficult it was to choose the five new members, since there is too much talent. In addition, he commented that the boys immediately bonded with each other, managing to create a spectacular sound with their voices. In a statement, López spoke of the start of this project.
Today’s launch is monumental and is just the beginning. The world is finally going to see how talented and hardworking these guys are and how good their music sounds. I couldn’t be more proud.
During the morning show Good Morning Americaon ABC, the boys presented their first single live, my love, and the video for this song also premiered on Billboard. It is not yet known if we will hear in the voices of these boys hits as well known as Clarity either Get on my motorcyclebut, without a doubt, they will manage to achieve phenomenal success.
