Mercedes-Benz unveils EQE SUV: stylish body, huge display and release in 2023

Yesterday, October 16, Mercedes-Benz officially introduced its new car – a conditionally off-road version of the EQE called the EQE SUV. The car boasts better handling off asphalt roads and is aimed at drivers who sometimes go to the dirt road. Unfortunately, the manufacturer is not yet ready to name the price of the new electric SUV, but if everything goes according to plan, the new car should appear at authorized dealers in the United States as early as 2023. Other markets, of course, the company will also conquer, but so far there is no information about this either.

Of course, the announcement of the EQE SUV did not come as a big surprise to the audience, since in fact the manufacturer spoke last year about the desire to release an off-road version of its premium sedan. The company did the same with the EQS – first the classic flagship car was introduced, and then its off-road version. Accordingly, the EQE SUV is the fourth vehicle based on the new electric vehicle platform from Mercedes-Benz. Accordingly, you should not expect any incredible changes from the novelty – the vehicle comes in a version with a single electric motor on the rear axle, two motors and a higher performance AMG version.

The main difference between the SUV and the classic EQE sedan lies in the interior space, because the manufacturer said that the SUV version is the most spacious representative of its class. There are no changes in the cabin – the manufacturer supplies a novelty with three displays on the central panel. One 12.3-inch screen acts as a digital instrument panel and is located just behind the steering wheel. There is also a 12.8-inch OLED display that is responsible for the multimedia system and various functions of the car, plus the passenger has his own small screen. It looks stylish, but this was already in the sedan.

Among the interesting features of the car, it is worth highlighting the support for the MBUX digital assistant, which will help you find charging stations and more, plus there is advanced audio with the ability to play sounds of nature while driving, and thanks to an advanced operating system, the SUV will receive updates wirelessly. And given that the EQE SUV is closer to crossovers, namely, they are now the most popular body format, this car has a much better chance of conquering the electric car market. Unfortunately, without a price, it will not work to compare the novelty with competitors, and there are plenty of them in the world.
