Mercedes-Benz today unveiled its latest in-car infotainment system. Moreover, it is not at all simple, since we are talking about the new electric flagship EQS, which should debut this spring and go on sale in the summer. The electric flagship is not just another S-Klasse, so it has a corresponding “dashboard”.

This phrase is not just put in quotation marks, because Hyperscreen MBUX has practically nothing to do with conventional dashboards. Here, multiple OLED displays are combined into, effectively, one curved 56-inch panel! That is, the screens extend practically from the left A-pillar to the right. The Hyperscreen MBUX turned out to be so large that the side ventilation deflectors had to be integrated directly into it.
A single-chip platform with an 8-core processor coupled with 24 GB (!) RAM is responsible for the smooth operation and various functions of the Hyperscreen MBUX. The company notes that a distinctive feature of the novelty’s interface is the “zero-level menu”. This means that to access various functions and systems of MBUX, you will not need to wander through endless menu items: access to navigation, radio, media system, phone is provided constantly by clicking on the corresponding icon, and access to other functions is maximally simplified and depends on the context of actions user (the device relies heavily on artificial intelligence in its work). “We love simplicity and therefore we have taken MBUX to the next level“- this is how Gordon Wagener, chief designer of the Daimler Group, described the system.

«MBUX Hyperscreen is both the brain and the nervous system of the car“- this is how Sajjad Khan, Technical Director and Member of the Board of Directors of Mercedes-Benz AG, spoke about the new product.

By the way, if you have already forgotten what the Mercedes EQS looks like and what it is, then here it is in the official video:
