In a few weeks, German auto giant Mercedes will unveil its flagship electric vehicle. And to stir up interest in the already long-awaited novelty, Mercedes has declassified its interior.
According to TopGear, the Stuttgart-based auto giant has published images of the interior of its electric Mercedes EQS. Inside, as standard, drivers and passengers will find a touchscreen and an electronic instrument panel from the S-Class, but the MBUX Hyperscreen system, introduced in January this year, will be offered as an option. It includes eight computing cores, 24 GB of RAM and three screens with a total size of 141 cm. In addition to the central 17.7-inch display, the driver and front passenger will have personal screens with a diagonal of 12.3 inches each. All three screens are covered with a curved glass panel and united by a silver frame. At the same time, the center and passenger displays are made using OLED technology and have tactile feedback and a pressure recognition function similar to the 3D Touch from old iPhones.

Hyperscreen is powered by the latest version of Merc’s proprietary MBUX infotainment system with artificial intelligence. Thanks to AI, the system will be able to literally predict the actions of the owner depending on the situation and context.
But the MBUX Hyperscreen system is not the only distinguishing feature of the interior of the new Mercedes EQS. A high efficiency HEPA air filter is installed inside the car, which will not allow unpleasant particles and odors to disturb the peace. The updated Energizing Comfort system, using data from the smart watch of the driver or passenger, will help you calm down or, conversely, cheer up. And Power Nap closes windows, reclines the seat, adjusts air conditioning and lighting, and even plays soothing music through the stereo so the driver can take a nap while his car is charging. There will also be an active aromatization of the air and the soothing sounds of the forest, sea and summer rain.
In total, the Mercedes EQS has over 350 different sensors. They control absolutely everything – from distance, speed, battery level, lighting conditions, air temperature and precipitation, to the number of passengers and their behavior, to ensure maximum comfort for everyone.
As a reminder, the Mercedes EQS will be launched on the European market in August 2021. The car boasts a range of more than 700 km on a single charge. Prices and other details are still unknown.
