Found in a bird park yesterday, Thursday, Chancellor Angela Merkel, during her visit to her constituency, Mecklenburg-Pomerania. Mrs Merkel seemed to be having fun feeding the parrots, but one of them preferred her hand to the special food.
The Lady Merkel made her farewell tour of her constituency to support her candidate for the seat, Georg Gooder. According to the German News Agency (dpa), on the sidelines of her tour, she visited Marlow Bird Park and wanted to feed a flock of Lori parrots with “nectar”, a mixture of dried pollen, fructose, wheat and water.
The birds got excited and at least ten of them hurried to surround her. However, some of them seem to have bitten the Chancellor, who was arrested by the cameras in an unusual expression of pain. Soon, however, she regained her smile and continued her visit. However, when she was offered to feed a 60 cm tall European owl, she politely refused, saying: “No, no, I did well with the parrots…”.
At the end of her tenure, she gets bitten by a parrot. Not sure how much Merkel enjoys her final trip across Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. This picture by Georg Wendt/dpa is brilliant. pic.twitter.com/tupBZ3Ny9a
