German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz today expressed his support for the Moldovan integration into the European Union during the celebrations of Moldova’s Independence Day, promising support for Russian aggression. “The door to the European Union is open,” Mertz told Kisinau during a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Moldovan President Maya Sandu, the pro -European prime ministers.
