THE Turk Minister of Defense contacted his Greek counterpart, Nikos Dendias in order to express his condolences for the death of the two Greek operators of the canard which crashed while operating in fire in Karystos.
“In our communication, the Minister of Defense of Turkey, Yasar Güler, expressed his condolences for the loss of life of the two pilots of the firefighting aircraft in Evia.” This is emphasized by the Greek Minister of Defense, Nikos Dendias, in his post on Twitter.
“He also expressed his support to the Greek people and to those who attempt to extinguish fires in our country,” added Mr. Dendias.

“I am deeply saddened by the death of two pilots in the firefighting aircraft that crashed in Greece. I heartily share the pain of the neighboring country of Greece and the Greek people,” the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey said in a post. “I honor with respect all the heroes who lost their lives in the fight against forest fires around the world,” he added.
In Greece, the fire that extinguished the aircraft was extinguished, and the pilot’s life was lost.
