Meta Platforms Inc FB.O will bar Russian state media from running ads or monetizing on its platform anywhere in the world, said the parent company of social media giant Facebook.
“We also continue to apply labels to other Russian state media,” security policy chief Nathaniel Gleicher said on Twitter. “These changes have already started to be implemented and will continue through the weekend.”
He added: “We are now banning Russian state media from running ads or monetizing on our platform anywhere in the world.”
