THE Meta restored names of themes that referred to the LGBT+ community . On social media, one of them was renamed “LGBTQIA+ Pride”, while another was deleted.
Previously, the theme that was restored was being shown as “Rainbow”. The “Transgender” option was renamed to “Cotton Candy” a few days ago and now it is only shown as “Sweet”.
The “Non-binary” option, however, the third theme that was recently changed, was deleted from the networks.
This week, the company had changed the name of the three themes following controversy surrounding the announcement of the replacement of the fact-checking system with community notes.
The new program, announced by CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Tuesday afternoon (7), is similar to that used by the X platform, formerly Twitter, owned by Elon Musk.
