The MetaMask team, in collaboration with OpenSea and Blockaid, has developed an experimental feature that notifies users when interacting with confirmed fraudulent projects.
As part of our ongoing commitment to keep our community safe and secure, we’re working with our friends @opensea and @blockaid_ on an experimental feature in @MetaMask that will warn users when interacting with known scams. pic.twitter.com/MPn9yE7utD

The feature checks the address against lists of known scammers from OpenSea. It also checks against a similar solution from Blockaid, which analyzes on-chain history for malicious behavior like signature forgery and unauthorized withdrawal of assets from wallets.
In January, MetaMask, in collaboration with the HAPI project, introduced the ability to check smart contracts, tokens, and addresses for risks in the wallet test environment.
