Meteor or spaceship? Bright light in the sky draws attention in MG and SP; watch videos

Residents of Minas Gerais and São Paulo reported seeing a bright green light moving across the sky on Monday night (19).

I didn’t have a cell phone at the time, but here in Sertaozinho/SP, me and a few other people could see a very strong green light cutting across the sky, at first I thought it was a drone hehehe but then we realized that it sparked at the end until it disappeared at a height of 3m from the ground!!!! #bdsp

As reported Renato Poltronieri co-founder and CEO of the Brazilian Meteor Observation Network, Itatiaia it’s a meteor.

“The meteor was a large, very bright meteor that dragged through the atmosphere for about six seconds. So far there is no explosion information, but the images show that there was fragmentation. These fragments may have fallen in regions between Minas Gerais and São Paulo.”

The expert also told Itatiaia that, “very likely”, some regions could hear the noise of the meteor fragmentation.
