Meteorologist “loses it” in front of the deadly hurricane that hit Mississippi: Christ help them

The internet round shocked local WTVA meteorologist Matt Mathban as he reported on the upcoming storm that would hit Mississippi.

Speaking of a tornado, the meteorologist said, “Let’s say we’re going 65 miles an hour, I’d say the west streets of the city of Amory are less than two minutes away. “This is a strong, life-threatening tornado that will move either extremely close to Emory or through the northern part of the city.”

Suddenly, he realizes the scope of the hurricane and says “We have a new scan coming in as we speak. Oh man, it’s coming to the north side of Emory. Oh my Christ, please help them, amen.”

The devastating storm and powerful “Supercell” tornado that hit rural Mississippi on Friday night left 23 dead, dozens injured and flattened areas as rescuers continued to pull people from the rubble.

Severe weather hit several states in the south overnight, most notably Rolling Fork and Silver City.

Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves declared a state of emergency Saturday for all counties affected by the severe storms.

I am devastated by the destruction and loss of life these storms have caused.”, Reeves said. “The state of Mississippi will continue to do everything it can to marshal every available resource to support our fellow citizens in need. The state will be there to help them rebuild their properties” he said and continued:
“We’re not going anywhere and we’re going to be here for a long time. Please join me in praying for the family and friends of those who have lost loved ones during this difficult time.”

Biden is praying for the victims

US President Joe Biden spoke to state and local leaders after the deadly storms and said he is “praying for those who have lost loved ones” and “for those who are missing.”

At the same time, he expressed his condolences and pointed out that he has contacted all the competent agencies in order to have full support for the rescue teams and also for the assessment of the damages caused by the unprecedented weather phenomena.
