Two men died after a group of people fired firearms at a casino located in Plaza Sinfonía, in the Sonata district, in central-western Mexico, the Public Security Secretariat of the San Andrés de Cholula City Council reported in a statement on Wednesday (10).
Authorities added that, according to information from witnesses, the attackers, without specifying the number, entered the establishment and approached “two men directly, who received several impacts from a firearm projectile”.
The press release states that two women and a man were taken to a hospital with injuries and “robbery has been ruled out.”
The secretariat added that the Attorney General’s Office “became aware of the incident so that the investigating agents could begin the process”.
