Mexico: Industrial production rises a 2.5% monthly in February, above 0.1% expected

The Industrial production of Mexico grew by 2.5% monthly in February After falling 0.4% in January and 1.4% in January, as reported by the National Institute of Geography and Statistics (INEGI). The increase has improved market forecasts, since an increase of 0.1%was expected. This is also the greatest increase seen in the indicator since 2020.

At the year -on -year, industrial production falls for the seventh consecutive month, descending 1.3% in February but moderating the decrease of 2.9% of January. The data significantly improves the 3.9% drop estimated by experts.

Mexican peso reaction

The Mexican weight has been appreciated with the publication, causing the USD/MXN to fall to a minimum daily in 20.35, where it now operates losing 1% in the day.
