Mexico’s trade balance has shown a deficit of 579 million dollars in the year-on-year reading for September, as reported by the National Institute of Geography and Statistics (INEGI). The indicator has reduced its deficit from the 4,868 million dollars seen in August.
In the first nine months of 2024, the trade balance presented a deficit of 11,017 million dollars.
Mexican peso reaction
The Mexican Peso has reacted downwards in recent minutes against the US Dollar. USD/MXN has reached a three-day high of 20.09 following the data, and at the time of writing is trading above 20.05, gaining 0.35% daily.
