MG: 12 -year -old boy who was attacked by Rottweilers is in serious condition

The 12 -year -old boy, identified as Guilherme Gabriel Couto, is still in serious condition at João XXIII Hospital in Belo Horizonte after being attacked by two Rottweiler dogs.

The attack took place on Wednesday night (12) in Itabira (MG). According to the Military Police, the two dogs would have managed to escape from the house where they lived through a hole in the fence. They crossed a forest area and reached the street where the 12 -year -old boy played in a vague lot.

According to the police report, witnesses reported that the dogs attacked the boy and started dragging him into the woods. The residents who were at the scene ran to help him and the dogs fled home.

According to the Military Police, “Boy was very injured, with perforations in the body, including the belly, and had a huge cut in the neck. The situation was serious and so they had to transfer it to Belo Horizonte, at João XXIII Hospital. ”

According to the Military Police, the dogs returned home but were still quite aggressive. “We tried to use ropes to arrest the dogs and prevent them from leaving again, but there was no way, they set off on us again, and we had no alternative but to shoot down them with a gun.”

The owner of the animals is a 27 -year -old man, the victim’s neighbor. He appeared at the police station after the attack, informing that he learned of the incident and when he went to the popular site they tried to assault him and go it sought the police station.

The Civil Police of Minas Gerais, reported by note that a detailed term of occurrence (TCO) was drawn up by omission of caution in the custody or conduct of animals and then the man was released.

The investigation continues by the Itabira Civil Police Station.
