MG Accident: Driver lost control of the bus, says Fire Department

The driver of the bus he overturned at dawn on Tuesday (8) and left 11 dead in Araguari, in the interior of Minas Gerais, lost control of the vehicle, according to the Fire Department.

The accident occurred around 3:40 am at kilometer junction that connects the MG-413 and MG-223 highways, towards Tupaciguara, near the Clover of Chief.

In addition to the deaths, 16 other people were injured. The bus was destined for the city of Ribeirão Preto (SP) according to Real Expresso, the owner of the vehicle.

The victims were taken to the Clinical Hospital of the Federal University of Uberlândia (HC-UFU) and to the Araguari Emergency Care Unit (UPA). The other passengers were released and went on.

“Since the incident, our teams have been mobilized immediately, including specialized professionals, to provide support on site and with family members. We are working closely with the authorities responsible to investigate the causes of the accident and clarify all the details,” says the statement issued by the company.

According to the Fire Department, among the fatal victims are two children, who died at the scene. The corporation pointed out that the occurrence was closed around 10am.
