Candid, smooth and light: the first impact with the new Mi Vacuum Cleaner Light it is very pleasant. It is a new wireless vacuum cleaner from Xiaomi, the “home” of mobile phones. The main body, which is particularly compact, is firmly grasped thanks to a handle and connects to all accessories simply by inserting them (instead to remove them simply press a large button on the front). To clean the floor, of course, you connect it to the light and satin-finish metal extension rod which, in turn, attaches to your favorite brushes.
In the box There is an electric floor brush, a brush nozzle, for cleaning sofas, wardrobes and work surfaces, and a long nozzle for reaching the most remote corners. The accessories can be connected directly to the vacuum cleaner or extension pole. Here, the work: it is facilitated by lightness of the product, the other strong point of the Mi Vacuum Cleaner Light, as the name explicitly suggests. To “lighten it up” it was necessary for the designer to choose – not only lightweight materials for the structure – but also a compact motor and lithium battery. This, inevitably, at the expense of suction power and autonomy – you have to recharge after 45 minutes in standard mode – which are still more than enough to carry out a complete cleaning of a medium-sized apartment and in normal dirty conditions.
To tackle particularly demanding floors, you can switch to Max mode (which naturally reduces the autonomy) and which is selected by pressing the on / off button twice. The total filtering rate is 99.98% thanks to the presence of the HEPA filter. Furthermore, the absence of wires then allows us to move with great freedom, even in areas not reached by electrical sockets.
After cleaning, if the dust compartment is full, to remove it, simply pull out the extension rod and rotate the dust compartment clockwise. The Hepa filter is extracted (and washed with running water if desired) and the dust is emptied directly into the bin. This operation is also extremely intuitive and quick.
The last (or first) strong point of the Mi Vacuum Cleaner Light is undoubtedly the price, 149.99 euros, light too.
