Miami offers us a very diverse gastronomic scene, where each bite is a vibrant sensorial experience.
In recent times, the beloved city of Brazilians in Florida has been the stage for more and more restaurant openings: each season new ones come to the four corners of the region and surprise us with the signatures of famous chefs.
Proving to be a good gastronomic stronghold in the United States, Miami now has a star unit Casa Vigil the first unit of the Alejandro Vigil outside Argentina, as well as a branch of Zaytinya from the Spanish chef and tapas master José Andrés in addition to the inauguration of the Bouchon bistro owned by none other than Thomas Keller from the three-star The French Laundry, just to name a few.
In addition to the names above, check out my selection of 10 new restaurants in Miami who arrived to enrich the city’s gastronomic scene:
-
Rao's Miami Beach

Inside the sophisticated Loews Miami Beach Hotel, in the heart of South Beach, Rao's recently arrived in Miami with its Italian-American cuisine, after accumulating 127 years of history in New York. The original restaurant remains in the Big Apple, but here is another option for lovers of good food.
The restaurant offers a refined Italian experience, with impeccable service and based on traditional cuisine from the south of Naples. Highlights include burrata with peppers, meatballs covered in marinara sauce, pesto pasta and penne alla vodka, as well as milanese with sweet and sour sauce.
Also save some space for dessert: order the peanut butter pie.

Casadonna
Right next to the renowned Klaw, an ideal new addition for orders involving meat and king crab, Casadonna is another Italian highlight in Miami. The seaside house opens onto a sumptuous and elegant environment, from which Italian Riviera-style cuisine emerges.
With the tuna carpaccio starter, I highlight the lemon tagliatelle with caviar and the irresistible lemon dessert. With a contemporary feel and signature cocktails and wine list, the space is still marked by attentive service and busy tables.
Casadonna: 1737 N Bayshore Dr 1st Floor, Miami, FL 33132, United States / Tel.: +1 (305) 475-2272 / Opening hours: Monday to Thursday, 6pm to 11pm; Friday and Saturday, from 6pm to midnight; Sunday, from 6pm to 10pm; brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, from 11am to 4pm.

Chateau ZZ's

A Mexican restaurant in a historic mansion? This is Chateau ZZ's, one of the most anticipated openings of the last year.
As the first Mexican restaurant from Major Food Group, the same one behind the private club ZZ and the popular Italian restaurant Carbone (with a unit also in Miami), the proposal here was to create a glamorous destination to see and be seen.
On the menu, tostadas with caviar, antojitos and a large collection of rare tequilas stand out. It is worth mentioning that reservations must be made 30 days in advance.
Chateau ZZ's: 1500 Brickell Ave, Miami, FL 33129, United States / Tel.: +1 (212) 254-3000 / Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 5pm to 11pm.

Casa Vigil Miami
Under the leadership of renowned winemaker Alejandro Vigil from Catena Zapata and owner of bodega El Enemigo, in Mendoza, Casa Vigil has just won a Michelin star in Argentina and has already taken new flights with the arrival of a unit in Miami.
The person in charge of the kitchen is Buenos Aires chef Maxi Mastrangelo, who is expected to remain here for the next few months until the house “walks on its own”. The novelty represents Vigil's commitment to sharing the richness of Argentine cuisine and its techniques.
There is no shortage of empanadas, with different versions available. The menu also includes fish, seafood and, of course, good meat, including Vigil's famous Angus rib. There is also a neat Milanese Ojo steak with potatoes; fried artichokes and a tomato salad in various textures. A closed brunch menu is also available.

Zaytinya

After docking in Washington and New York, Zaytinya officially landed in Miami and once again sheds light on the work of the famous Spanish chef José Andrés who previously ran the Bazaar and Bazaar Mar in the city.
The restaurant, in the luxurious The Ritz-Carlton in South Beach, presents a menu inspired by Turkish, Greek and Lebanese cuisine in an elegant and modern environment. Hummus, labneh and tzatziki are side by side among the starters, as well as octopus and scallops are among the main ones to be shared, along with a selection of different meat dishes with influences from the three cultures.
The proposal was created based on Andrés' deep knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine, acquired over years of research and travel.

Delilah Miami

Delilah embraces the sensual spirit of Miami, illuminated by sumptuous chandeliers in a property almost on the water's edge. It's like an elegant retreat in the central area of Brickell, where the gastronomic experience is accompanied by dancing, while we witness a group of artists moving to the sound of live jazz.
With units still in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, the restaurant began accepting reservations in December and serves diners a seafood bar, including oysters, shrimp, crab and caviar, as well as fish and prime meats among the main dishes.

The chef's latest venture Thomas Keller , the name behind the three-star The French Laundry in California, is in Coral Gables. Bouchon serves us a refined French experience, with seafood dishes, salads and sturgeon caviar service.
Occupying the historic La Palma building, built in 1924 and previously home to one of the city's oldest hotels, the bistro was designed by Adam D. Tihany, chef Keller's longtime collaborator.
