Michael Douglas asked for “memorable death” of Marvel character

The 79-year-old actor admitted last year that he would only return for a fourth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise if his alter ego, Hank Pym , was graced with a dramatic end. Now, the veteran has revealed that he actually asked for a death that provided a memorable visual spectacle in the last production, which was considered by many to be a box office failure.

“[Morrer] it was actually my request for the third film“, began Douglas in an interview with The View.

“I said I would like to have a serious death, with all these incredible special effects. There has to be some fantastic way where I can shrink to the size of an ant and explode, whatever that is. I want to use all these effects,” she explained.

Although his wish was not granted, it is unlikely that he will return as Hank in future projects.

“But that was in the last one. Now, I don't believe I'll show up [para um quarto filme]”, he stated.

The Hollywood icon admitted last year to his lack of familiarity with the Marvel universe, revealing that he still needs to discreetly seek out information on certain topics.

“At first, I didn’t know anything. I wasn't addicted to comics when I was a kid. I didn't know the Marvel world, so they sent me a whole series of comics to get some ideas. I had no idea about [o universo] and even now, I still have to ask discreetly because I don't want to look like an idiot. Now it's getting very complicated because Kang, our ultimate villain in 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania', will be in several of the different Marvel films,” Douglas revealed to Digital Spy.
