The new trailer for the highly anticipated DC superhero movie, “The Flash” was released on Sunday (12). It made its big debut during the 2023 Super Bowl with some major characters and a big reveal.
Title star Ezra Miller portrays Barry Allen and first appears in his Flash costume.
The Star’s Voice “Batman Michael Keaton can be heard saying, “You can go anywhere. Another timeline, another universe. So why do you want to stay and fight to save this one?”
“Because this is where my mother lives,” replies Miller.
The new movie is a loose adaptation of the comics and animated series. “Justice League: Flashpoint” .
It marks DC’s foray into the idea of a multiverse, a plot already used by Marvel in films like “Spider-Man: No Way Home” It is “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ”.
The trailer is also the first full look at Keaton’s return as Batman, appearing in his iconic jumpsuit.
In an emotional sequence, music by the composer of “Batman” Danny Elfman, plays as Keaton’s gothic superhero races to defeat the villains.
Keaton’s return as the character marks the first time in 30 years that he has donned the costume on the big screen. The last time was in 1992 in “Batman Returns” by Tim Burton, co-starring Michelle Pfeiffer .
Another Batman, Ben Affleck, also appears in the trailer, clean-shaven and looking more like Bruce Wayne.
Affleck first portrayed Batman in the 2016 Zack Snyder film, “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and later appeared in “Justice League” It is “Suicide squad” like the masked man.
In another big reveal, the trailer offers the first official look at Sasha Calle as Kara Zor-El, the new Supergirl in the DC superhero cinematic universe.
“The Flash” will hit theaters on June 16, 2023.
