MicroStrategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor predicted the rate at which the first cryptocurrency could be traded in twenty years, in 2045.

The businessman, during an appearance on the Making Money program, said that many investors consider the volatility of Bitcoin to be a disadvantage, but MicroStrategy, on the contrary, regards this as an advantage of the first cryptocurrency. Investing in Bitcoin combines traditional financial markets with the rapidly developing crypto market, Saylor said.

Among the unique qualities of Bitcoin, he named “portability,” programmability, decentralization and resistance to financial risks. According to the head of MicroStrategy, Bitcoin is a viable alternative to real estate and fiat currencies, which are vulnerable to inflation.

Saylor compared the public acceptance of Bitcoin to the advent of electricity and cars. Previously, people were also skeptical of technological innovation, and this is a completely natural reaction, said an experienced investor.

The entrepreneur believes that by 2045, Bitcoin’s market capitalization will grow to $280 trillion. Now this figure is almost $2 trillion. According to Saylor’s ambitious forecast, in twenty years Bitcoin will trade at a rate of $13 million per coin.

Saylor recently clarified that among all cryptocurrencies, he prefers Bitcoin and does not recommend investing in altcoins. Previously, the businessman promised to leave his inheritance in bitcoins to “humanity.”
