The co -founder of Strategy (earlier Microstrategy) Michael Sailor met with Pakistan Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and the chairman of the Pakistan Cryptocurrencies Bilal Bin Sakib to discuss the prospects for using bitcoin in state reserves and the development of digital assets. This is stated in local media with reference to the press release provided.
Sailor supported Pakistan’s desire to create a state bitcoin reserve and pointed out the opportunity to join the work as an adviser. He also noted:
Recall that in May 2025, Bilal Bin Sakib announced the country’s intention to form a strategic crypto -cutter based on bitcoin.
According to the statement, Seylor is “one of the most influential votes in the institutional acceptance of bitcoin”, and Strategy owns the largest corporate portfolio of the first cryptocurrency size of 582,000 BTC.
According to Aurangzeb, Pakistan seeks to become the leader of the global south in the field of digital assets.
Sakib added that the country already has all the prerequisites:
Seilor believes that Pakistan has every chance of becoming a cryptocurrency center for developing countries, and confirmed his interest in cooperation.
It should be noted that the plans for the legalization of cryptocurrencies in the country became known in March of this year, when Sakib noted about this with data on almost 20 million users of crypto activists in Pakistan.
In addition, in June, Pakistan Crypto Council, created with the support of the government, submitted a draft legal framework for regulating cryptocurrencies, which the Ministry of Finance agreed to publish in an accelerated manner.
Sakib, who is CEO of this advice, is also an adviser to World Liberty Financial – a crypto platform associated with the US President Donald Trump.
Earlier, the head of the Council of Cryptocurrencies of the country spoke about negotiations with Bitcoin Mainers on the use of part of excess electricity for the extraction of the first cryptocurrency and the work of artificial intelligence centers.
Later, the initiative was launched and allocated for the process of 2000 MW of electricity.
In April of this year, the former CEO Binance CEO Chanpen Zhao became a member of the Cryptocurrency Council.
