Michael Strachan officially became the first sports entertainment star to receive the honor, receiving the 2,744th star on the Walk of Fame.

“We are very excited to launch the first sports entertainment star for Michael Strachan,” said Ana Martinez, Hollywood Walk of Fame Producer.

“Sports fans will be thrilled to be able to see their favorite sports and entertainment personalities receive stars. “Michael’s experience in sports and sports broadcasting makes him the perfect choice to add a star in his honor to the famous sidewalk,” he added.

Martinez hosted the ceremony, and former NFL player turned TV and movie star Terry Crews along with SMAC Entertainment co-founder and CEO Constance Schwartz Morini were there to support Graham.

“I’ve always wanted to make the people around me feel like they have purpose and value” said Michael Strachan who in his 15-year career played for the New York Giants.

He referred to his parents, his mother, Louise, who attended the ceremony, and his late father, Gene, who were married for more than 60 years.

“I learned that any job you have, you can go and enjoy it,” he said of working with Fox NFL Sunday. “There hasn’t been a single Sunday when I’d rather be somewhere else. Always, always, and I mean it from the bottom of my heart,” he emphasized.
