Michalis Oratis takes over as Chief Risk Officer at the Superfund

The Superfund (EESYP) announced the inclusion of Mr. Michalis Oratis in the Management Team of the company in the position of Chief Risk Officer.

According to a relevant announcement, Mr. Oratis has more than 30 years of experience in Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance and Treasury, from senior management positions in companies and financial institutions in Greece and abroad.

He has been, among others, General Manager of the Risk Management Department of the National Bank Group, Country Treasurer in ABN-AMRO BANK NV, Citibank NA and Bank of America NT & SA, as well as Group Treasurer in the Mytilineos Business Group, while he was Management Advisor in DoVALUE Greece.

He is a graduate of the Department of Chemical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens, while he has an MSc. in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University (USA), and MBA in Finance and International Business from New York University (USA).

The Managing Director of the Superfund, Grigoris D. Dimitriadis, stated in this regard:

“Making decisions based on informed information and leading to the most correct and efficient management of public property and the multiplication of its value for the Greek State and society, is our main goal. As part of our transformation into a Public Wealth Fund, “in the implementation of best practices in accordance with international standards, and we shield the Superfund by creating a Risk Management department, staffing it with experienced and renowned market executives, such as Michalis Oratis.
