After all, it had begun like a (modern) fairytale. Michelle, a die-hard fan of the boy “born in the suburbs” since he was 9, at 18, just arrived in Italy from Switzerland, buys a ticket to see her idol in concert in Milan. She doesn’t know yet that she bought the ticket to his future. She that evening she manages to go backstage and talk to him, but she is not alone: around her there is a plethora of other fans with eyes to heart. «I was convinced that I was only one of many for him groupiesI couldn’t really care, ”Michelle told years later Maurizio Costanzo, “Panicking, the day after the first meeting, I took the train and ran away. Back in Bologna, all sad, I thought “it’s gone”: among all the girls she had behind her, would she really look at me? ».

But among the things he had said to his favorite there was also his own home address. Eros, then 32, did not write it down, but memorized the city and as soon as possible he went to look for the blonde girl: “It was funny because Eros remembered where I told him I lived, he didn’t have the address but he asked all Cafe “Where does Michelle live?”. He rang the bell, answered my mom and asked her to come up. Mom stood there for five minutes without letting him in because she thought it was a joke. “

The improvised one dates back to 2005. A year later, they welcomed their daughter together Auroraand three years later, in 1998, they got married in the Orsini Odescalchi castle in Bracciano with Tina Turner (who the previous year had duet with Eros in Things of life) who sang the soundtrack of the ceremony.

Everything is finenet of the daily problems of all marriages, even those that work, until 2001. When Michelle ends up in the coils of one sect: for the presenter, who told everything in her autobiography A seemingly perfect lifereleased in 2017, begins a dark period which will last five years. These are years in which the career takes off but the private life is crumbling: the holy woman keeps her away from friends, from loved ones, even from her mother. And she takes her away from her husband Eros.

In that same period he too is not well: “I hit bottom in 2001”he told the weekly a few years ago Seven, “I met the wrong people I trusted, I sinned with too much security, I thought I had everything and I had nothing in my hand.” But, he had specified: “You won’t hear a negative word from me about Michelle”.

Eros and Michelle are young and in love, but that moment of crisis they are unable to face it together: “It was a very surmountable thing, but we were both very young and, instead of having external help, we had someone who separated us,” she explained years later.

Like this they broke up in 2002, to divorce in 2009. Their lives take different paths: he binds himself (until 2019) to the model Marika Pellegrinelliand she a Tomaso Trussardi, from which she separated a few weeks ago. They both have two other children each, but to keep them together in some way there is always Aurora. The relationship changes, grows, becomes an adult like them. Who today are able to look at themselves with one new form of loveperhaps veiled in regrets and nostalgia, but probably now really indissoluble.
