Michelle Obama encourages young people to vote at event in Georgia

Former First Lady Michelle Obama mobilized young voters in Atlanta, capital of the state of Georgia, on Tuesday night (29), encouraging the electorate to exercise the power to vote in the next election and to recognize their role in shaping the future of America.

Obama said critical issues from health care to reproductive rights are at stake in the election. “If you want your life and your future to be better, you need to vote,” he said.

She also reminded the audience that the Georgia race was decided by fewer than 12,000 votes in the 2020 election.

More than 53 million Americans have already voted in the election, according to the University of Florida’s Election Hub, in a contest that will decide who will govern the world’s richest and most powerful country for the next four years.
