Michelle Pfeiffer to Star in New Series From “Big Little Lies” Creator

The next project of Michelle Pfeiffer (“Hairspray: In Search of Fame”), 66, will be in a very familiar environment. The actress joined the cast of the series “Margo’s Got Money Troubles “, a new Apple TV+ production created by her own husband, David E. Kelley (“Big Little Lies”).

Apple confirmed the actress’ participation last Monday (23). In the production, Pfeiffer will play Shyanne, mother of the character Elle Fanning (“The Great”), a young woman who briefly becomes involved with her English teacher, but nine months later discovers that the brief fling has turned into a pregnancy.

The series is based on the book of the same name written by Rufi Thorpe . The cast also includes Nicole Kidman (“Babygirl”), who worked with E. Kelley on “Big Little Lies,” “Nine Perfect Strangers” and “The Undoing.”

It is worth remembering that, recently, Kidman and Reese Witherspoon confirmed the production of third season of “Big Little Lies” .

“Margo’s Got Money Troubles” does not yet have a release date.
