The MicroBT company at the Bitcoin MENA 2024 conference in Abu Dhabi showed new devices for bitcoin mining of the WhatsMiner M6xS++ series.
According to press releaseall three ASIC miners provide a power consumption level of 15.5 J/TH. The stated hashrate of the air-cooled M60S++ model is 226 TH/s.
Designed for hydrocooling, the M63S++ reaches 478 TH/s. At the same time, M66S++, created for immersion heat removal systems, produces up to 356 TH/s.
The line of installations from MicroBT also includes three models with an energy efficiency of 17 J/TH. The WhatsMiner M61S+ (236 TH/s) is air-cooled, while the M64S+ (236 TH/s) and M65S+ (440 TH/s) have liquid outlet temperatures up to 80°C.
According to company founder Zuoxing Yang, such a high limit expands the possibilities of using the generated heat for various purposes such as steam production, heating or desalination.
In 2022, MicroBT, together with the American Heat Core, implemented a pilot project to supply heat to industrial processes through mining.
In 2024, Hashlabs Mining used WhatsMiner M63S devices for residential heating in Finland.
