A microexplosion hit the region of Nova Andradina, interior of São Paulo, on Saturday (15). The phenomenon caused floods, falling power outlets, water tower fall, tree falls, gate fall, destruction and wall fall in the municipality.
According to the Civil Defense, “microexplosion” is a term used to explain a phenomenon associated with a very strong storm, difficult to record by meteorological appliances.
In Nova Andradina, the heavy rain was accompanied by gusts that reached 85 km/h. Registration was possible due to images and data from the nearest stations.
According to the information, there was a tree on the Nova Europa Highway with Ibitinga and six others in the vicinal ear Bergamin, which caused a traffic accident with two victims, both with minor injuries.
A gate fell on Rua Quinze de Novembro, which resulted in a victim with serious injuries, which was rescued by the Fire Department and taken to the Emergency Room of the Municipality of Araraquara.
In the Vila Europa neighborhood, 25 homes were detached and 12 walls fell. A roof collapsed over a victim who was rescued. A gas station has been preventively banned on Prudente de Moraes Street, due to the risk of collapse.
Also according to the Civil Defense, approximately 30 people were taken from their homes preventively and sent to family home.
Civil Defense Teams, Paulista Strength and Luz Company (CPFL) and Secretariat of Social Assistance remain on the field providing support to affected residents.
