Microsoft is resuming deployment of Windows 10 update KB5001649 after an unexpected recall last week. The tech giant posted this cumulative update on Thursday March 18 to address blue screen errors when trying to print documents, but stopped distributing the update a day later.
Microsoft tried to resolve the errors rather quickly, after which the distribution of the KB5001649 update for Windows 10 resumed. The update is approximately 400MB in size for users still using the February 2021 Cumulative Update. The patch weighs less if you’ve installed the March Cumulative Update.

The KB5001649 update for Windows 10 addresses the remaining printing issues and will be available in all regions of the world soon. So far, users who have received the KB5001649 update have no longer reported issues.
Optionally, you can open Windows Update settings and check for updates. There you can find this patch in the “Additional Updates” section. A reboot is required after installation.
The source also adds that if you do not have a specific problem, then optional updates should be skipped.
