Microsoft finally confirms Windows 10 21H1 update, but don’t rush to rejoice

Microsoft has finally publicly acknowledged the upcoming release of the next update of the Windows 10 operating system in version 21H1. The company has been sticking to a standard bi-annual release schedule for Windows 10 feature updates for some time now, but there has been unusually little information about the update due out this spring. Now the update has been officially confirmed, while it became known that it will not bring major changes.

A post has been posted on the Tech Community forum on Windows hardware compatibility and the changes that Windows 10 21H1 will bring. Although in this case it is more correct to say “changes that Windows 10 21H1 will not bring.”

Microsoft finally confirms Windows 10 21H1 update, but don't rush to rejoice

The post is almost an exact copy of the post that was posted for Windows 10 20H2 update. The list confirms that no changes have been made to the equipment certification. All the same requirements and rules that applied to last year’s update remain unchanged for the upcoming update.

Few people will be surprised that the 21H1 update exists, but Microsoft has only now acknowledged it. The next major update for regular Windows 10 was due out in the fall and should bring significant changes.
