Microsoft has finally fixed an annoying issue in the Windows 10 operating system that was causing sudden reboots.

The crash occurred on devices with Windows 10 Fall 20H2 or October 2020 Update installed. In November, Microsoft acknowledged the existence of a glitch in “some configurations.” The cause was a critical error in the Local Security Authority Process, which is responsible for authorizing local users on the computer.

Affected users’ computer restarts randomly, displaying a cryptic error message: “Your PC will automatically restart in one minute.” As a result, the user has less than a minute to save the results of his work and not lose data.
As reported in the Microsoft documentation, users do not need to do anything to fix the situation – the fix is included in the most recent updates to Windows 10 version 20H2.
