Microsoft has acknowledged a huge backlog in the gaming market. Leader – Sony

In an interview with Bloomberg Television, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella expressed confidence that his company could win regulatory approval for its $69 billion purchase of Activision Blizzard. And this despite the investigation initiated by the UK authorities, as well as investor doubts about the deal. But another point is interesting – the software giant recognized Sony’s leadership in the gaming market.

According to the Microsoft CEO, Sony has made several acquisitions lately, so it currently leads the market, and they are in fourth or fifth place, depending on how you count. Acquisition of Activision Blizzard, according to the head of Microsoft, should have a positive impact on competition.

“If it’s about competition, let’s compete with them,” Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.

Satya Nadella is confident that Microsoft will be able to cope with the weakening economy and rising inflation, as well as help its customers survive in this difficult time. He is optimistic about the company’s market share, but does not exclude that anything can happen.

In May this year, Newzoo analysts reported that if Microsoft owned Activison Blizzard, it would now be number two in the gaming market. According to them, the company is ahead of Tencent, Sony and Apple.
