Microsoft has integrated Editor into its Edge browser: it marks errors in text

Some time ago, developers from Microsoft introduced their own extension called Editor for their Chromium-based Edge browser – it could be downloaded from the extension store, but this approach seemed to the company representatives not very convenient. Now, according to the information publication Windows Central, the spelling and grammar checker Microsoft Editor is integrated into the Edge browser by default – for the foreseeable future, when the innovation is sent to release, users will not need to install any add-ons to see errors in the text.

However, at the moment, the integration of the extension into the browser is still being tested – users who are subscribed to the Edge Dev and Canary insider assemblies can try the Microsoft Editor as part of the application. In addition, unfortunately, so far testing is taking place only in the United States – in other countries, the system will probably not work. It is also worth noting that now there is no complete list of supported languages - the developers will tell all the details closer to the full release in the stable version of the Microsoft Edge browser. We can only hope that the Russian language will be fully supported.

If the user has installed the Microsoft Editor extension or downloaded an insider assembly, then under the words and even phrases, you will see a red or wavy line, which are identifiers of spelling or grammatical errors. And if you right-click on this error, the Microsoft Editor window will pop up with a proposal to correct this error – you can also ignore it there, if in fact it is not an error, but a feature of a word or construction. Just like in Word, only in a browser and without the need to install anything extra.
