Microsoft has released an update for its latest Windows 11 operating system.
Windows 11 KB5012643 (build 22000.652) is an optional update. It is not installed automatically, but is available through Windows Update (Windows Update) and for manual download from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
The update brings a huge list of fixes and improvements. In principle, all of them will become available in a mandatory automatic update as part of May’s monthly Patch Tuesday. However, if the system has one of the fixed problems, then you can install the update now.
One of the most important improvements is a fixed problem due to which the launch of the OS could be delayed by almost an hour – about 40 minutes. We also fixed issues with incorrect video subtitle alignment and partial cutoff of subtitles, the inability to use the minimize, maximize and close buttons in a maximized application window, the display of temperature over the weather icon on the taskbar, and much, much more.
