Microsoft, as part of the traditional monthly “update on Tuesdays” (Patch Tuesday), has released an update for the Windows 10 operating system. The update brings not only bug fixes and security improvements, but also new features.

Update number KB5012599 is available both through Windows Update (Windows Update) and for manual download. It is available for Windows 10 versions 21H2, 21H1 and 20H2.
Despite the fact that Microsoft is currently focusing on Windows 11, it does not forget to work on Windows 10. So, today the OS received a new feature called Search Highlights.

Basically, it’s a new kind of Windows search that suggests content based on what day it is. For example, the user can see information about important events that happened on that day, or about holidays. Users signed in with a corporate account will instead see content specific to their organization. This includes important contacts, recent files, and so on. Another new feature is the feature that allows you to choose different colors for pop-up notification buttons.
