Microsoft has taken the final step in the development of a major update for the Windows 10 operating system. It announced the release of the final build for Windows Insider testing participants and gave this version of Windows 10 the official name – Windows 10 November 2021 Update (Windows 10 21H2).
Build 19044.1288 can be obtained from the Release Preview channel, where the most stable versions are published, and also as an official disk image (ISO file), which allows you to perform a clean installation from scratch.
The November 2021 update is expected to be the last major feature update for Windows 10, while the company has shifted its focus to the newest Windows 11.
Support for Windows 10 will not end until at least 2025. However, you should not hope for new features after the release of Windows 10 21H2, only for various fixes and improvements.
However, Windows 10 21H2 doesn’t offer much anymore: WPA3 H2E support, easy password-less sign-in with Windows Hello for Business, GPU computing in Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL), and Azure IoT Edge for Linux.
