Microsoft is accelerating the distribution of the latest version of Windows 10 and has already begun to automatically update users’ PCs.
The May Windows 10 May 2021 Update, also codenamed 21H1, was the first major update for Windows 10 in 2021 and was released on May 18.
However, for a couple of weeks, the spread was very slow. Yesterday it became known that the company made Windows 10 May 2021 Update available to all users of Windows 10 May 2020 Update (version 2004) and October 2020 Update (version 20H2), you only need to manually check for updates by going to Windows Update settings (Options> Update and Security> Windows Update) and selecting Check for Updates.
Now the distribution will accelerate even more – Microsoft has begun to carry out automatic updates on PCs with Windows 10 May 2020 Update (version 2004) installed to Windows 10 May 2021 Update. As noted by the sources, for now, automatic updates will be carried out only for some users, since Microsoft is now in the first stage of this process – it has just begun to “train” the machine learning systems that identify PCs with Windows 10 2004.
