Microsoft has announced the HoloLens 2 Industrial Edition augmented reality headset, listening to the wishes of various companies including Lockheed Martin, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Mercedes-Benz USA.

HoloLens 2 Industrial Edition meets several new standards. It is ISO 14644-1 Class 5-8 for clean rooms and the intrinsic safety of the headset is UL Class I, Division 2.
